                                                    “Mars perseverance mission”

Human has always strived to understand the nature surrounding him and this quality has made him superior to all other creatures in this world. Initially, the position of earth in our solar system was a long running debate where most of the people were accepting the Geocentric theory, although it was later corrected by Copernicus and other intellectuals of the then time. Later, the reflected light coming from moon had amazed humans as there was no idea about the reflective property of the moon.

Anyways, man has achieved a lot than the initial ages of human history. And a recent development in human history is the

                                                     “Mars perseverance mission”

Here are some details about the famous “Mars perseverance mission”

Budget:

               $2.7 billion.

Launch:

The Mars perseverance mission rover was initially launched on 30-July-2020.

Landing:

The rover has landed on Mars on 18-February-2021.

Place of landing:

The rover has landed at Jezero Crater, Mars

Objective/Job:

The main objective of this mission is to “seek signs of ancient life and collect samples of rock and regolith (broken rock and soil) for possible return to earth.”

Journey experience:

The rover entered into the atmosphere of mars with a velocity of 12000 meters per second to 13000 meters per second. This travel of the rover after entering into the mars atmosphere was attention grabbing because the friction between the rover and atmosphere was very high but the head of rover was designed in such a way that it has survived the friction.

The atmosphere of mars is thin and another challenging stuff about mars is that it does not have magnetosphere hence the dangerous radiations from outer space can easily enter into the atmosphere of mars as it does have any filtration system to avoid those radiation.
